Many types of platinum electrodes have been devised, but only those in general use are described in this section. PREMIER will, however, manufacture electrodes to users’ own specifications. Great care is taken in the construction of platinum electrodes. The gauze cylinder and electrode frame are welded together at each point of contact, and special reinforcement is given to the joints of the frame. Care is taken to eliminate all pockets and crevices in which liquids and other trace impurities might be retained. All electrodes are supplied with the gauze hard rolled to provide extra rigidity and life. The frame is Pt/Ir 3 , the mesh is 100 Pt
